Replacement for windows Defender

Windows defender is out of Beta. It is a anti-spyware software from Microsoft and was in Beta for the past year.

It is included under the windows Onecare service, a service which Microsoft provides for a fee which includes anti-virus, anti-spyware etc.

For a windows environment, windows Defender is good but unfortunately after the Beta, it is only supported under windows XP and above only. So it seems that Microsoft has abandon its win2k users. There is fortunately many other products some which is free and good to replace windows Defender. One of such product is spybot 1.4. It is a free product for clients and is enterprise ready with its need to pay server solution.
