Daily Life: First week back at work

Finally it's friday. I have survived for one week after I am back from my 2 weeks reservist stint. I cannot imagine how busy I was. First we have problems with the network then I have to make many IT purchases within a short span of 2 days. The IT vendors also started calling up for sales leads which can be quite tiring to discuss, how much budget do they really think a manufacturing SME has anyway given that last year was a disaster for all.

The worst of all i have one dept whose printer has broken down every few days since I took over in Sept last year until I cannot resolve it by my means. I still awaiting the repair status as the vendor schedule is so tight he is only free to resolve my problem on coming Wednesday morning. I also got into application programming when one of the application got some issues which I thought was resolved before I left for my reservist. Guess I really cannot trust my own colleagues to test and feedback to me. I really see a feedback issue with how the various dept do not talk to each other and MIS looks like the glue. It gets tiring sometimes.

Lets see how the last week of Jan 2010 has in store for me. Game on.... towards the known and unknown come hell or heaven.
