It's not the first time I take part in marathons but its the first time I actually start training before it started. I been running since April (I think) for 2 rounds at the Bishan Canal every Wednesdays or tues and thursday.
With the Army Half marathon (AHM) just round the corner in Sept, I decided to up the distance from 7.2km to 11km starting today. That will be 3 rounds at the canal and twice a week. Physically it's very challenging as it's after a days work and most people will hang out at bar instead of running.
One very clear advantage of running to me is for me to purge my anger. Its very easy to get angry in my line of work and things tend to go out of hand easily. Since I cannot blow up my co-workers everything something screw up, running is one avenue for me to 'run the anger' away.
