As I have too much unfinished work, I went to Toa payoh after lunch to take a bus to office. While at Toa Payoh, I saw groups of people asking for donation to the Taiwan typhoon victims. Even though I did not donate, I cannot help to wonder if the full sum of these donations will go to the victims or be spirited away to some people's pocket. Given that this year that have been many cases of such scams, it is no wonder I will believe so.
The organizer of such donation could assure the public by thanking the public for their kind faith and share with us the amount given so that at least the public is aware the money indeed went to these victims; whether will someone in taiwan will take the money for their own use is another matter by itself.
It maybe a blessing to give than to take but wary is the fool who gives without thoughts.
