Daily Life: SBS bus late... Who's at Fault?

Today it was raining in the morning and the SBS bus no 135 was late. It is not uncommon for the bus to be late as the route it takes is from Marina Parade to Ang Mo Kio which is a very long journey.

However, one of the regulars, a guy aged around late 40s start boarding the bus and complain to the bus driver that why the bus 135 takes so long when bus 66 has come more than 5 times. He also remarked that SBS should not run this route. The bus driver respond was heavy traffic which is not untrue. There are so many cars on the road plus so many road works going along Paya Lebar area that i doubt the bus 135 can reach given the situations.

I guess the guy is late for work for him to make a hill out of a molehole. There is nothing to do with the bus driver and more to do with the government. If we are looking at a 6 million population for Singapore, then we will need a 8 million public transport infrastructure which unfortunately we do not have the excess capacity on.

So the Economic planning board has a direct role to play in this. They are also the same guys that should be held responsible for the recent flooding in Singapore, too much rapid growth without proper planning and lack of accountability when problem occurs.
