Daily Life: Taking a break from work

Since 2010 is coming to an end and most people will be away in Dec, I decided to start clearing my leave in Nov instead. This way I get to train more for my marathon while giving my team mates more exposure to solving IT issues in the office rather than seeking my help.

I started my first 2 days in Nov 10 to 11. But the rainy weather on Nov 11 prevents me from doing any form of outdoor activities so the internet is keeping me interested. The G-20 meeting in Seoul coupled with my continuous exposure to FX markets is giving me something to do when i am on leave.

I also taking this time to finish reading a book called 'Lords of Finance' by Liaquat Ahamed. It tells about the Great depression and the hands of central banks of that period which directly/indirectly lead to the Great Depression. It's influence in today context remains the same and the book illustrate haunting similar situation to current world affair. It's a heavy book so I am taking my time to enjoy the literature.
