Think of Passion card like a normal membership card which allows its members access to discounted NTUC items, booking of NTUC chalets at discounted rates and others benefits. In any case, yesterday was the run and I took part in the 12K. There are 25k and 5k but I don't feel like 'killing' myself so soon with my KL marathon (21k) just next month.
There were a total of 3 waves for 12K runners. The reason is to allow runners not to run into each other as the East Coast park itself is still open to the general public so there are cyclists moving around with other runners. I was attempting to join wave 1 but reached the entry gate too late so was forced to start in wave 2. What you seeing in the picture is 2 guys who are supposed to the in wave 1 but seems to be having some issues. By the next moment, they were off.
Since I am in the first few lines of runners in wave 2, by the time the run started I was already moving very quickly with the rest of the pack. Some runners run so fast that by the 1k mark, they have started walking. I did not expect to see this so soon in the race but who cares. Running is one sport that is for loners. I continued to run at my normal pace and saw a long lost army friend around the 6k mark. I waved to him and he was with his family, he seems surprised to see me though. As I am running so I did not stop to talk with him.
After the 7k mark, my HR manager called me saying that one of my colleague's wife computer is infected with virus & malware. I have to tell her that I am in the middle of a race plus I am going for a movie later around 9pm so can only contract the person tomorrow. This is the second time I am called during my run. First time was during my Wednesday run at Mount Faber.

The race is overall good and think I can move forward with my daily training runs to 15k. That way I will have no issues with 21k.
