Daily Life: Day 2 Dinner in KL

Even since I arrived in KL on thursday, I have been eating western food like Mac, KFC for lunch or dinner. The dinner on first day was a nightmare to be say the least. So i decided to have noodles for my Day 2 dinner.

In a earlier entry, I had the chance to come across a review on KL beef noodles and how the writer say until it is like a heaven dish. Another writer tried it and found it to be wanting. She gave another choice which is the one I had. Its closer to where I am staying and remains affordable. So based on the directions provided, I went over and found Soong Kee Restaurant. Its more like a coffeeshop and outside is selling porridge. Inside is where the Beef noodles is. I ordered one large bowl and a glass of barley water (warm). Total cost is RM7.20. Not too ex and more healthy. Its at 3 Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin, just opposite the pictured RHB bank complex.

Now on the dish. It is very different to the Singapore version. The noodles is different, more like the wanton noodle type and very smoothly. The black color items are the minced beef mixed with dark soy sauce n throw in some vegs. The bowl contains 7 beef balls. It has a faint smell of beef and very chewy. Very nice indeed. I will not be able to see such beef balls in Singapore. The chilli is disappointing though. I prefer mine to be hot and spicy.
