Daily Life: Day 2 in Muar for Muar 21K run on June 16

Today is Day 2 in Muar for me. Breakfast was at the old town coffee next to my hotel. its good and inexpensive.
Since I was supposed to meet my colleague n her husband at Chung Hwa High School, i decided to walk there from my hotel. actually its not as tough as thought. Though there is no walkpath, pay attention to the road n walking facing the traffic allows me to rach Chung Hwa under 30 mins. That is by only looking at my phone screenshot of the map. As the haze is getting bad in Muar, i collected my race pack which included my race tag. The T-shirt is color coded with L as dark blue, blue as Medium n white as small.

We got a colleague sister husband who was also running in the race to drive us around. His name is Mr Leow and he brought us around Muar, to the fishing village n the Taman Tanjung Emas. We had lunch at a nearby restaurant near the fishing village. The Assam fish is very fresh and tasty, unlike the versions I had in SG. The otak is also good as the meat is made on site from the freshest catch of the day.

After the lunch, Mr Leow drive us back to my colleague hotel while i walk back to my hotel. Along the way, I saw many fellow runners from either SG or other parts of Malaysia. Guess all here for the Muar 21K. Around 7pm, i went over to my colleague hotel to meet for dinner but my colleague went to darken her hair as she has some white hair. The salon auntie is very friendly n offer to cut hair for a fellow shop owner daughter whose hair was too long n covering her eyes. The young girl (4 years old) was rather quiet n drawing something. After a while we walked towards Jalan Bentayan's Bentayan Hawker Centre for dinner where we ordered chicken plate (white chicken mix with roasted chicken n chicken kidney), 3 glass of hand made sugar cane, 1 bowl of fishball, 3 BBQ chicken wings, BBQ stingray, 12 sticks of satay (mixed flavor), steamed hong kong styple rice noodle and fried kway teow. All cost us RM57 which is very very cheap indeed.

Now is rest time at hotel in preparing for tomorrow 21K run.
